Why can’t I seem to conquer weaknesses that plague me?” “How do I know if I’m receiving revelation?” “Will the Lord forgive me after what I’ve done?” “Why can’t we seem to get ahead financially even though we faithfully pay our tithing?” “What if the Church’s position on gay marriage bothers me?”

Those are just a handful of the countless questions Sheri Dew has heard people ask over the years. “May I answer these questions,” she writes, “and any questions you may have, by posing a different question Are you willing to engage in the wrestle? In an ongoing spiritual wrestle?

In Worth the Wrestle, Sheri examines the process of asking good questions—whether those questions be doctrinal, procedural, historical, or intensely personal—and learning how to get answers. She demonstrates how to live by faith while seeking greater light and knowledge. And she testifies of principles that are worth wrestling for and of understanding that can be gained in no other way.

Worth the Wrestle edition by Sheri Dew Religion Spirituality eBooks

I usually don't read church-y books. Not because I don't want to or because I don't think I would be better because of it... But because I struggle to stay awake. I hope that doesn't make me a bad person. I began reading "Worth the Wrestle" because my dad had bought it for my wife... I was on a business trip... And I had nothing else to read!

I really enjoyed it and am glad I read it. There wasn't any new doctrine revealed or explained just right. It was just a good reminder that asking questions is a good thing. In fact, asking questions is a commandment from our Heavenly Father. He wants us to have our own personal testimonies of him. For Him to give answers... We must ask questions. But... those questions need to be asked with a sincere heart, willing to change. Not with a challenging spirit demanding miracles!

I don't know all the answers. But I know a few... And those came only after sincere asking...And sometimes acting before the answer came. It was good to read the Sister Dew isn't a whole lot different.

Worth the Wrestle edition by Sheri Dew Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

Very uplifting and full of hope resonated throughout this book. I loved how she was straight forward, open and honest. It has given me lots to ponder and seek answers through the Holy Ghost who testifies of truth.
Excellent little book, some good suggestions, highly recommend to those who are questioning and those who are helping those who question - questioning is good!
Good book, well worth the read.
Loved hearing Sheri Dew read her own book. Her thoughts are clear, insightful, encouraging, honest, and inspired. We all struggle with understanding life and how God works in our life, and Sister Dew helps show, that although it requires a wrestle, it is always worth it. Have listened to it more than once.
Sheri Dew follows her usual pattern of quoting prophets and apostles, then shares her life experiences to make the point the apostles and prophets were testifying of. She is an amazing woman with a gift of hearing the Lord's voice and then teaching us what she learned.
A straightforward genuine book about how to keep your faith and how it's okay to ask questions about pretty much everything. Even though you don't know everything, God does. It's a useful book for just about anyone who wants to increase their faith in Jesus Christ and learn about how to be at peace with not knowing everything in life. This book is written by a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'd also recommend you read the Book of Mormon if you haven't already, to learn more. It will knock your socks off. God loves you. Hang in there.
Sheri Dew Did It Again! As with all her previous books (and talks) Sheri speaks from the heart with confidence and clarity thru the power of the Holy Ghost about the amazing thing called the Gospel. Sheri shows what it means to wrestle with our testimony and our religion and why it’s worth it. She is knowledgeable, articulate, engaging, and doctrinally sound. This is a quick read. I would recommend this book to everyone , Lds or not.
